Step 10___ Close foundation vents: You probably opened your foundation vents for the summer to allow any accumulated crawl space moisture to escape. This is the time of year to close them up again for winter freeze protection. It's also a great idea to install exterior faucet covers which prevent leaky hose bibs next spring.
