Last week I started a blog on the 12 Steps to Winerize your home. Today's blog is the 7th thing you can do to your home. These are the things you can do to the exterior of your home.
Step 7___ Check the roof: A roof that leaks can not only do significant structural damage, it also wets insulation, which causes a drop in the insulation's ability to resist heat loss. Examine roofing shingles and flashings, and repair or replace them as needed. It's much easier and safer to take care of these problems now than during winter's ice and rain.
